Serving Our Neighbors

City Mission organizes many events to help members of the community who may be in need. In addition to providing a community meal Monday- Saturday, we also:

  • Host community wide picnics during the summer
  • Assist with Back to School supplies, winter coats, Christmas toys and other needs!
    • In the 2023-2024 winter season, we provided over 2,000 coats to people in need.
  • Free medical clinic on Tuesdays at 5:30pm
  • Clothing Room is available to individuals working with other agencies
  • Provide meals to local senior center on a weekly basis
    • We provide over 100 meals each month to the local senior center!
  • Host Christmas Toy Stores for parents to select new, unwrapped toys, free of charge, for their children. Volunteers will wrap the toys and help parents select the toys.
    • In 2023, we were able to help 319 families with Christmas toys, allowing 738 children to have a joyous Christmas morning.

EXODUS INTEREST FREE

LOAN INITIATIVE

The Exodus Loan Initiative provides interest free loans of up to $5,000 (with no fees) to residents of the Greater Capital Region of New York. The loans must be paid back in about two years. Loans may be used to pay for a wide variety of needs such as business loans, credit consolidation, medical costs, education costs, rental deposits, etc. or to help bridge a period of unexpected income loss.
