Q: When can I get something to eat?

Community meals are served Monday through Friday at 5:45 in the evening at the Wallace Campbell Dining Center located at 512 Smith Street Schenectady NY 12305, and at 3pm on Saturday afternoons. All are welcome. We also have bagged lunches available 24/7 at our Men's Shelter at 427 Hamilton Street Schenectady NY 12305.

Q: What do I do if I need a place to stay?

We have a shelter for men and a shelter for women and children. Please call (518) 346-2275 to talk with our staff about the next steps.

Q: I'd like to change my mailing preferences. How can I do this?

Please contact our Donor Care Team at (518) 346-2275 ext. 308 and they will be happy to assist you.

Q: Can I just show up to volunteer?

While we appreciate your willingness to serve, we have many volunteers who come in each week that are scheduled to do specific volunteer duties. Volunteers must be registered ahead of time. Visit our Volunteer page for more info.

Please note: At this time we're not able to accommodate court-ordered community service hours.

Q: Can children volunteer at City Mission?

We ask that children be at least 10 years old to volunteer at City Mission. Children under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult when volunteering.
