WELCOMING A NEW BUILDING

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND WELLNESS CENTER

Earlier this month, we were blessed to come alongside partners, staff, and friends to welcome a new building at City Mission. Named the Transitional Housing and Wellness Center, this exciting addition to our campus provides 10 transitional housing apartments for women and children, a Wellness Center in which individuals have access to counseling services, as well as a fitness center, a prayer chapel, and a facilities workshop!

We are so grateful to our community and partners for helping to provide this space in which healing can occur, opportunity can flourish, and lives can be transformed. Make sure to check out the coverage from Spectrum News at the bottom of this page to learn more, get an inside look, and hear from one of the women that is being impacted by your generosity!

Coming to the shelter, I wasn’t in my right state of mind- I was depressed. I was angry. It brought life back into me. I was around other women whose stories were similar to mine and we just helped each other. You come from the shelter you’ve been in for a year and you finally get to move into your own setting, which is peaceful. It’s comfortable and it’s beautiful.
