PHASE 2:

FAMILY LIFE CENTER RENOVATIONS

ABOUT

The Family Life Center (FLC) is a 33-bed women and children's shelter where we meet both emergency and long-term needs. Private living areas are available for single women and women with children, as well as a dormitory for emergency housing. The FLC features training programs in life-skills and home management as well as a Child Enrichment Center. The Cornerstone Project will enable us to make needed improvements to this facility to continue to make the FLC an environment of safety, beauty, and transformation in our residents’ lives.

I feel like by coming here, I gave my children a fighting chance. Now they're in church and getting poured into and being loved on and not being yelled at or cursed at or screamed at or pushed to the side and told to be quiet and sit down. They get a normal childhood and it's helped me to see everything that I've been doing wrong from my childhood. So now, I can give them a normal setting of how it's supposed to be done correctly.

My other apartments always had roaches and mice and were dirty. But here, I have a clean and warm bed and I know that every morning I can wake up to get a fresh meal. I thank God every day for living here.
