Amy arrived at City Mission a few months ago. “As I approached the Family Life Center, I suddenly got tears in my eyes. I said to myself, “I’m home… this is my home.”
Mary, a resident of our Family Life Center, knows what that feels like. Recently, she became homeless for the first time —a situation she never thought she would face.
Sean first came to City Mission because he needed something to eat and a place to sleep. Like so many others, he was hungry. He was tired. And he was scared.
Please join City Mission of Schenectady, Hodorowski Homes and Northway Golf Center in support of the Schenectady Works Program.
People who were once homeless on the streets are now working and welcoming visitors to the city as part of the Downtown Ambassador program.
Recently, we celebrated City Mission’s 110th year anniversary with our annual banquet with over 1,100 friends, volunteers and supporters of the Mission.
City Mission was named “Non-Profit of the Year” by the Albany Business Review. It was a year of great impact and we’re excited for the new partnerships and opportunities.
